Rouse Theatre has had the privilege to work with some amazing students over the years. Below are some highlights of where they are now. Click here for a Nomination Form.
Josh Pagan is a 2013 RHS Graduate and he is currently a member of the Drama Class of 2017 at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, which is ranked 6th in the nation. There he was previously in the school's 50th anniversary production of Guy's and Doll's, and is about to play in C.P. Taylor's "Good". Outside of school he was recently in the film "In the Treetops" by Matthew Brown, which competed in the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival. To see what is on the horizon for Josh, visit www.imdb.com.
Dana Noel is a 2014 RHS Graduate and she is currently attending Oklahoma City University to obtain a BFA in Acting with a Stage Management minor. At OCU, Dana is a member of the National Championship winning Pom Squad, the student-led theatre organization Out of the Box, a writer for The Odyssey, and she is the House Manager for all MainStage shows. This past year Dana was cast in Oklahoma City Theatre Company's production of Tartuffe.
Vanessa is a graduate from the Rouse High School class of 2014. She is currently attending Texas State University where she will be getting here BFA in Theatre with a concentration in All-Level Teacher Certification. She hopes to graduate in the Class of 2019. She is a member of the coed theatre honors fraternity, Alpha Psi Omega where the entirety of there existence is solely to help the theatre community prosper (and they have fun doing it). Her education is not strictly limited to her university life in San Marcos. She has been adventuring outside of her school to pursue different community theaters. Her most recent musical was Jesus Christ Superstar at the Wimberley Playhouse where she was delighted to perform as one of the sultry Soul Girls. Before that she was in Shrek: The Musical at the EmilyAnn Theatre where she was delighted perform as The Shoemakers Elf as well as many other ensemble roles. During this production she was delighted to work as the dance captain alongside her wonderful choreographer. For the last year she has been doing technical work at The Wimberley Playhouse. Back in January of 2016 she got to work alongside the wonderful stage manager Tyler Osgood as Production Assistant on the magnificent farce, Lend Me A Tenor. She has been blessed with many opportunities and is delighted to be pursuing her passion outside of high school. Cole Shuffield is 2016 RHS Graduate, and is currently attending The University of Texas at Arlington pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Since departing Rouse High School Cole has been fortunate enough to be a member of the Maverick Theatre and Dance Company. He has been honored with originating a role in an original musical "Troupers: A Musical Vaudeville" written by the head of the Musical Theatre Department at UTA Dr. Anne Healy. He has also been recently seen in the company's production of "West Side Story" as Baby John and the understudy for the role of Tony. Cole has also been cast in the company's 2018 Opera production of Puccini's "Gianni Schicchi" and looks forward to what is to come in his life.
